Featured Supervisor Connie Duggan graduated from Richmond High School in 1963. After working for 13 years in U.C. Berkeley's cashier office, Connie started working for WCCUSD on February 23, 1981. She started as a textbook clerk at Portola Middle School and, after six months, became the secretary/supervisor. After a few years, Connie transferred to Pinole Middle School where she continues to work today. She says that the best part of her job is the great variety of tasks that she performs regularly. It has been a very rewarding experience for her. Connie will retire soon and will enjoy spending time with her family, most of whom have worked for the district. For the past 34 years, she has been married to her husband, Rob, who was also a district employee. They have a daughter, Christine, who taught in the district for 12 years, and a son, Kevin, who currently works for the district. They also have two grandchildren. After her retirement, Connie and Rob will move to their new "retirement ranch" and take care of chickens, ducks, goats (her retirement gift from Pinole Middle School), birds, dogs, cats, and a California desert tortoise. She will also be busy with her favorite hobbies including gardening, photography, and travel. Connie will miss the many great friends that she has made in the district. Congratulations Connie and Happy Retirement! |
