The School Supervisors Association (SSA) is a non-profit organization with exclusive rights representing the classified supervisory employees of West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) in all matters of employment, working conditions, grievances, salary and benefits.

SSA was finalized in 1977 after collective bargaining became law in 1976 for school employees. SSA was recognized by the Public Employees Relations Board (at that time known as EERB) in January 1977 and by the School District in April, 1977.

The first contract was agreed on in May 1977 and covered the period of July 1, 1977 through June 30, 1979 with a salary re-opener for 1978-1979.

In 1977, SSA represented 29 classifications. Currently, SSA represents 57 classifications.

For the past several years SSA has used Interest Based Bargaining in the negotiating process.
